I just found a neat scrap quilt pattern called "Prairie Chicken". I'm not sure if it would look too good using the solids I've accumulated, but I thought I would share it with the rest of you.

Us grandkids loved to check out gramma's quilts she made because they would have signs of our clothes and she used the scraps from all the seamstresses in the family. Yes...scrappy is dear to my heart and I've made many. As you can see in my double-wedding ring as an example.
WWW.sunbonnetsue.com is where I go my pattern

That's a cool pattern. I have saved it to look at again. Scrappy is my thing!

The backing is muslin and I wrapped it around to from the binding. The quilt is very large, bc I wanted to use her blocks.
The second picture is called Church Windows. I finished it yesterday.
So pretty! Love them both but especially like the old blocks your MIL gave you. The church window is so bright and pretty. Wow! I really like them.

do you have any pix of them?
I love scrappy. I would rather die with 20 "ugly" scrappy quilts instead if boxes of scraps. I can't post a picture of my latest because it's half quilted. It was from a quilters guild last week. Here's a photo of the pattern- it's really easy. But this one is not mine!
HOW INTERESTING THAT you said, I'd rather die with 20 ugly scrappy quilts instead of boxes of scraps! This is what I need to do...because I have BOXES of scraps!!! I need to just cut them and sew them into quick quilts!

Love them all. Thank you ladies for the scrappy show. I love scrappy alot. However I haven't made any that are truly scrappy. Most of mine are very controlled scrappy. The more scrappy quilts I see, the more I know that I will loosen up and do one. I have been a matchy person forever and am learning to let go. I think I will have to brown bag it for an experiment.

I also make scrappy quilts. I love the different pieces in them, and they're so awesome!
