Love my omnigrid rulers and creative grids. Have one called Cottage Tools (14" square) and don't care for it as the lines are pink & blue, hard to see. I cut a lot of dark fabrics so the rulers with just black lines are hard for me to use.

The yellow and the wide stripes overwhelm my senses. I tried the Olfa Frosted and love them. That sea of yellow gave me a headache after while.

I use them all the time. I don't have any problems using them.

All my rulers are Omnigrid. They were the ones recommended when I took my first quilting class. No matter what you use, make sure it is the same kind throughout your cutting. That way you will be as accurate as possible. A quarter of an inch isn't always the same.

I have a few different template rulers, but mostly Omnigrid. I have trouble seeing MOST of them so even tho' I look like a Queen Sized GEEK I wear a backpacker's headlamp when I'm cutting fabric at night. It keeps all areas well lit (no shadows) and the light is always directed right where I need it. I do look INSANE and I don't care...lol

I'm okay with Omnigrids and my quilts are always squared - so they must be working for me.

AMEN to this post! Yep.. USE the same brand rulers on a project or it can mess things up!
