The major side effect of quilting is a beautiful project when it is finished and it doesn't harm the body. However, there may be a few strings attached here and there after quilting. lol

All of the aforesaid positive remarks are wonderful - a busy mind and hands are all we need to keep us going - We do lots of pressing and I think ironing is therapeutic too, time to think and solve some of life's problems, and maybe plan the next project. The valium adverts surprised me somewhat Lostn51!! Just like smoking ads used to impress us eh? Patchwork and quilting might be an expensive hobby but how rich would some of us be if we had $1 for every packet of cigarettes we'd bought in our lifetime - I gave that up 27+ years ago but I'm not the slightest bit richer financially - I wonder why not? LOL
