I am blessed with a Bernina820 and it tells me 10% left, 8% left, 6% left and I had better stop shortly thereafter. Great thing to have as it enables me to get to the side when FMQ.

I don't know the answer to having a ding when bobbin is low...but what a great idea! Also, where in Texas are you...as I am also a Barbara in Texas.

My Artista 180 has that capability; however, I have turned it off because the sound is annoying.

My machine beeps a couple of times when the bobbin is low as a warning and if I continue to sew it beeps again and then stops sewing when its empty. I love that feature! It also shows a picture of the bobbin (blinking) so I know what the beep is for.. It really is nice to have.

My Viking D1 stops and shows a picture of a bobbin on the touch screen. I can touch it and it will sew a little farther. It won't sew when the bobbin is empty. To me, nothing is worse that sewing along and then find out I was sewing without a threaded bobbin. That's one reason I chose the Viking...

Wish they had a gadget to buy that could be added to machine. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
