I always like to leaf through them to see if I want them - and on occasion I've bought them - although I'm still upset that I actually misplaced one I bought 2 winters ago and now I'm ready to make the project and can't find it lol. I'm determined to find that magazine!!!
Is anyone else annoyed that you can't see a preview of the quilts inside a magazine?? I can't be the only one...

Looks like you and I are odd men out. But, for me at least, that's okay. Won't be the first time I've been the dissenting vote!

Probably and may be for sure. I hate buying a quilting mag that is NOT in a plastic bag. You can tell that they have been looked through (dog ears) and indeed ripped out pages.[/quote]

I heard back from F&P.
Apparently you have to be a Facebook Fan to see what's inside.
"Deb, we are starting to preview all quilts in an issue on our Facebook page so to “like” us on Facebook and you will be notified each issue. Then you will be able to see the quilts before you pick up the issue."
I will say that I got an advertisement in the mail the other day for the McCall's quilting magazine 2 years for the price of 1 and I am tempted... very tempted but after my haul at the library last night, I don't think I'll need another pattern for quite awhile!

First of all the price of these magazines is getting, for me anyway, a bit out of range. $7 or more for a magazine that is way thinner than in the past, and many more ads just doesn't justify the price they demand now.
Also, the last the time I took a new magazine to the quilt store to get fabric from the featured quilt the ladies all laughed and said that by the time the magazine comes out that fabric is "old" and gone.
I have had a quilt that I like and make it periodically that I got from a magazine that is several years old. Imagine my surprse when I saw the exact magazine layout in the same magazine this year. Now what's up with that??????
