The snake print overpowers the blocks in the quilt and takes away from the overall beauty of the quilt. I vote for the giraffe. Nice quilt by the way.

The contrast with #1 looks better , IMHO. But if it were me, since the snake is not an animal like the others, I would use a narrow black flange, or as someone else said, a narrow black inner border, and then go with #2.

I like the snake skin print. I would also consider what is on the back. If it is the giraffe print then I would use that and the same print for the border. What a fun quilt. I am humming "In the jungle, the quiet jungle the lion sleeps tonight,....."

While I like the darker color, I would not want to be sleeping with a snake!
Perhaps a smaller black trim sash and then the giraffe print would be better.
