I'd also audition a medium grey marbled color. It might be more in keeping with the modern feel off your quilt and not "compete" with the greens.

Love your quilt. Borders definitely. I'd frame it with a very thin (1/2" - 3/4") very dark green or even black border then a wider border.

Lovely quilt and I have seen this pattern finished both ways. I would prefer the border like the previous posts have mentioned.

I am working on my second top and was trying to figure out wheter or not to border. The second will be much bigger. The tops are very scrappy and so I am wondering how to go about choosing a colour/colours.??? Just good or trial and error ?

I border about every quilt I make. I just like the look. Like it is framed piece of art. So yes I would like a border. lol

Yes, I agree, very nice quilt. I think it was Maggie Malone who said, the stronger your design, the more you need a Border: like putting a fence around your Bull. Keeps the design contained. (paraphrased).

What a goregous quilt!! I think a border would enhance it's beauty, but it's not necessary!

I agree!! I too am odd woman out! I usually put borders on everything. If this were my quilt, I would just add a dark binding. This too would give the eyes a placed to rest.
