I ended up changing my camera picture setting (on my android phone) so it took smaller pictures. That was the easiest way for me to solve the issue.

Or you can make the box bigger by dragging one of the corners out.

Some email clients will automatically reduce the size of your photos. I email them to myself on my phone, and my email client will resize the photo so it's about 1 mb or so.
