Yes I do. sometimes the pattern is wrong so I would rather be safe than sorry. I made a quilt from a pattern in an old book and they had forgot one whole section in the star. I hadn't been quilting very long and was so confused that I drove over to my neighbor's house, laid it all out on her floor and we decided that if I made another section that everything would fit just fine. Guilty as charged. I always see another quilt coming on when I buy fabric.

depends on how much I like it and the price. most of the time I "shop" in my store and can make just about any pattern I've found. in the rare cases I have to go shopping, I still add extra to the stash.

I do! It allows for errors or better yet sets me up for quick baby quilts, small projects and of course ........ another scrappy quilt or two or three.
