I do and I just found a green print I used in my quilt from 11 years ago in the stash. I am putting it on as the last border and binding. I am so happy I bought a lot of that fabric. It is a grey green and very hard to match today!

Oh yes, what if I run out? Seems like someone at quilt club is always holding up a piece of fabric and asking if anyone has any of this, because she is short on fabric. That just reinforces the need to buy more. Hope you never see my stash!

I do this all the time - hence my out of control stash!

I do because I ALWAYS make a mistake.

So I have lots of stuff for a scrappy quilt.

Better too much than not enough to finish a quilt - and then you have something to add to your stash

I buy extra of every color needed to make a quilt because I have been known to make a mistake cutting, so this insures I have enough to finish. The left overs are used in scrappy quilts.
