Which pattern do you like better? and Why? My son wants me to make him a ugly flannel quilt. Whats ugly to me might not be to him so it will be a challege So I am going to make him one for Christmas. If you have any ugly flannel that needs a home maybe we can trade. :D

I like Yellow Brick Road better, not so many different fabrics.

Can I ask why he wants an ugly one, instead of a good looking one? LOL!

I don't know why he wants any ugly one. Maybe he think if he is rough on it, It won't matter so much?

I don't like turning 20, i am a huge yellow brick road fan. AND you can use as many or as few colors as you like. There are NO RULES!

But don't tell the Quilt Police i said that, I'll deny it. :D

It's funny you should start this thread. My oldest son asked me for one of my "old ugly" quilts for his new apartment. I told him he could have any one he wanted but his response was " I don't want the dog, cat, or me to ruin it". They both sleep with him.
Boys are so cute, no matter what age :D

Yellow Brick is awesome...I have sewn both patterns but I think it is so much better than Turning 20. :-)

I vote for Yellow Brick Road - directions are so clear and concise; quilt top pieces together quickly and looks great.

I vote for Yellow Brick Road as well. I like not having any really large pieces. I find YBR easier to quilt.

I much prefer Turning Twenty - at least the pattern I use (there are several) because it doesn't waste as much fabric as the Yellow Brick Road...
