I agree with QuiltnNan's discription, the yellow background really makes the stars pop and the framing with purple! Yum, it is going to be a real looker!

The purple... the yellow is pretty but just it washes every thing out. I also like Dragonmine's suggestion

Why not try and do a piano keys around this. With the 2 1/2"x 6 1/2" strip. of the yellow and purple.

I saw the drawing of QuiltnNan and I love it so that's my vote. I think the deep purple has to be the focal point.

I like QuiltnNan's suggestion of the three borders, and I would bind it in the purple.

I would go with the purple for the sashing. I do like QuiltnNan's suggestion for the borders

I agree with QuiltnNan.....I usually use a darker outer border as for me, it frames the quilt better.

What a pretty block, love the purple with yellow. I also like quiltnNan's idea, narrow purple, narrow yellow, then larger purple borders with purple binding. It will be gorgeous, either way.

I think it would be outstanding with a stripe blue and yellow.

I like the idea of using both the yellow and the purple too for borders. Love the design.
