I had to look up that pattern up. WOW!
I love Log Cabins: what a fabulous variation and inspiring story! Mahalo for bringing it to my attention.

Mariners Compass or NYB, Double Wedding Ring, Storm at Sea. The reason STS isn't done is I didn't want to print all those PP pattern pieces to make a King LOL. Tried piecing but got frustrated when it wasn't as perfect as I wanted.

My top 3 bucket list projects are;
1. Make last year's mystery quilt from Quiltville, working on this year's mystery project now.
2. Create my own quilt pattern using EQ7, which I'm just learning how to do. Next year project.
3. Finish 2 paper piecing projects. I took a class earlier this year and never finished the tops, but I really want to finish.

Jemma, I have the graduate rainbow french braid in batiks all cut out and ready to sew. It's on my bucket list. So is an autumn leaf applique quilt! But I want to do a Mariner's Compass or New York Beauties. Pretty similar!

Here's my list:
1. Snail's Trail
2. Rail Fence with pinwheels
3. Star Spin - this is the pattern that got me back into quilting and I've been collecting fabrics for it for 2 years now!
