Swappers- One thing to remember is that the WOF is getting less and less so if you try to get 4 10.5 your fabric should be at least 44 wide and let me tell you that is getting harder and harder to find and I think that is why so much selvedge is popping in these days
My sentiments exactly...I was amazed at the width of some fabric as well as the width of some selvedges-even the more expensive fabrics. I sincerely hope my blocks are not among those causing "frustration" on your part.

If the WOF is getting shorter and shorter this swap may go to 9 sqs instead of 12...... - would make my swappin easier...

Maybe we can check the WOF as we purchase it?

I'm with you on whatever you decide to do LUV. Only you know what you have to put up with and do. Not an easy job on these swaps I'm sure. I'm just happy I'm in the swap, doesn't matter to me on how many we do, and on selvedges and icky's, I'm easy. It'll be a while before I use all of my years worth of blocks anyway! Ha! I was seriously thinking about the 10 minute blocks. Easy enough and I feel like I've done something productive. :-D

Just checking in. I'm glad with however you decide to do it. I'm not picky. I've made a few mistakes myself along the way.

Whatever you want to do...what if you do 10 squares, that way it is an even number. :) I didn't even notice that the WOF was getting smaller. ;) How is the chocolate stash now?

I would prefer 10" squares myself. I buy 1.5 Yards of fabric for this swap. That way I am sure to have enough for my 10 1/2" squares. I use the fabric that is left over for my strips. Also if I like the fabric well enough to buy for this swap then I want some for myself too.
Linda you do what makes you comfortable.

I think the idea behind the #9 is that the WOF would still allow us to do 3 across. Doing 3 down would give us 9. If we do 10 we would have to buy that extra 11" so we might as well do 12. Mulitiples of 3 because of WOF.

Did that make sense? lol
