Linda You and family are in our thoughts and best of wishes.

I received candies from Janet and NLS today. Thanks so much, only three days clear to Oregon. I'm originally from Illinois and after 35 years, it still seems a long way from all my family.

Hello Ladies....I had a very busy week filled with children!!!

I am a nanny as you all know and this summer I have not worked very much. The kids have been to camps (day and away camps) so I think I worked a total of 10 days. I actually missed our usual summers of going swimming, playgrounds, museums and our annual park bus trip (get on a bus ask the bus driver to stop at a park get out and play...get on another bus and do that all day). They are getting old (12 & almost 10) almost don't need me ...sad thought. I have been their nanny for almost 12 years (the oldest was 3 months when I started)................so where this was all going is....

I made up my summer work all in 1 week!
Monday I had 7 kids (kids I nanny and some friends and neighbors)
Tuesday same 7 and someone snuck another one in for a few hours.
Wednesday only 3 took them to the local quilt shop and we made pillowcases for the local children's hospital.
Thursday 3 (kids I nanny) and Cooper
Good thing I love children....but I'm tired!

Sorry I haven't been on this week....glad to see all of the squares are starting for the September babies! Enjoy your month it is so much fun!

trish b...also wondering who SueZq is? maybe you received a bonus package!

Havplenty....I will keep you and your sister in law in my prayers. Family is so important!

Daisy Dew...I hope you are happy in your new surroundings. Like I said, family is so important. Coming back home to take care of them is a wonderful thing for you to do. you are also in my prayers.

I will be out of town until Monday...going to Cincinnati to visit my sister and her family. My husband said we could stop at 3 quilt shops for the "row by row experience" yeah!

If you have collected the "row by Row" patterns please post how many, where they are from and if you plan on making them. Posting pictures would be lovely if you have made them.

Have a great holiday weekend.

Barb Contest next week!!!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful, full week Barb! I'd love to see people's row-by-rows too. There is only one quilt shop about an hour and a half away from me, so I don't go often. I've been missing out on the row-by-row experience. I think it's a genius marketing idea to get people shop hopping and having fun! Quilters are always thinking of fun things, aren't they... like this birthday swap!

Thanks WMUTeach and Cindyvnb. Your packages arrived yesterday. I still waiting for my b'day before opening packages. I think it is going to be a long month.

I've received several BD packages already and can't wait for the day to open them. Mine will go out this coming week for those who share my BD month. As soon as I get things together after this long weekend.
