I am blessed to have been able to participate. Will ship tomorrow.

I'm sorry... I meant Sadie, not Sophie. It's a charitable organization called Sadie's Dream for a Cure. They ask volunteers to sew quilted tote bags, "busy bags", for children with pediatric cancer. They fill them with toys and craft items, books and puzzles, and give them to the kids for their hospital stays. It's a great charity! You can read up here:
http://www.sadiesdreamforacure.org/

If you want to help them, they will send you a "kit" to make one bag, but then they ask if you could make a second one using your own fabrics.

Hi all,
Peg, love your pillow cover, great message. It is sometimes difficult to Keep Still, but I do try!
SheriR, girl your quilts ROCK!!! Congrats on those finishes, inspires me to work on my UFOs.
Barb, our youngest is leaving the nest in mid August so we are in a scramble to find & pack the "things" she simply must have in Washington state - her Girl Scout Gold Award left a mark on the wall when she took it down; our mug cupboard is thinner because collector cups will help her adapt to the coffee in Seattle, imagine there's no need for it, but she insists. Can hardly wait to see how her little Mini Cooper will manage the load! Last little chick to fly the roost. Sad but happy, conflicting emotions here! Please pray for our Mary's safe journey.
hugs,
dj

Safe journey to Mary... what an adventure, going off on her own. I remember the feeling.

I mailed to travelinggramma yesterday... she will get it early but can hang on to it or open it, as she chooses.

Can't wait for our big crazy month of Sept. with 8 birthdays. After that, most of our birthdays will be done. And the next up after that is Barbara Kibbler. Our fearless leader.
