Jaba...I am a Bronco's fan (Lions don't give me much to cheer for) I am a big Payton Manning fan, I was in a fantasy football league this year and Cam Newton(Panthers) was my quarterback. So it is going to be hard to decide on who to root for during the Super Bowl.
At my house ( big football fans) I came in 2nd place (again!) this year. But I just won the Post Season Play offs. And we are gearing up for the Super Bowl. Can't imagine if the Lions ever got there how hopped up excited we would be. Congrats on the big win and good luck in two weeks.

I have to chime in here....I'm a native Denverite (now in St. Louis but never a Rams fan)...I grew up with John Elway as the quarterback for the Broncos.....Oh, I.m really showing my age, aren't I? Well, I'm rooting for the Broncos and that's all there is to it!

My birthday candies are already rolling in! Although I'm not going to open them until my actual birthday, I do want to let you know I've received packages from Nora B, Kele, sewbizgirl, djmat and BJSmith57. That's five down! Thank you ladies. It's tough being the last one but it's already worth the wait!

Thank you for the invite and I've thought long and hard each year BUT...I still have LOTS of these little guys. I seen to join swaps but then do nothing with them!!!! Also participated in ShariR's swaps....then the eye sight took a turn for the worse so not going to collect more until I slowly work my way through my present collection. I keep checking your sights for new ideas. Can I still join you all and cheer on the Broncos in the Super Bowl?

Well... football makes my eyes cross, but if Peyton Manning is playing I might be semi-interested.... for ONE game, LOL! It's good background noise to knit to.

I too have a candy top nearly ready to quilt! However, it hardly made the slightest dent in my candy stash. The box is still overflowing. I can see I'm going to have to make a Growing Up Odd just to get this beast under control!

Janice McC... thanks for letting me know you got my package of candies! Hang on til your birthday. It really is fun to open them all on the 'big day'.

sewbizgirl I received your wall hanging today that you made to honor Linda's (elizabrat) memory. It is so cute and will make a happy wall hanging for the hospice center. Thank you for sending it. This is the candy squares that I was sewing on yesterday for my quilt. Have 1 more row of black around the outside and then it will be on the quilting table. Kind of like a little "I Spy"..

"Linda's (elizabrat) memory" ...... someone please explain? By the way I like the pattern and have it but it makes a much larger quilt. Too many twisted little kitty tails for me.
