I used the small sticky notes and just basted (long stitch length) on front of block. Someone suggested this earlier in the thread and it worked great.

I created a paper label page in word and just sew it along one edge in the seam allowance.

This is my first set. Hand-appliqued butterflies that I acquired years ago. I cut them down to size and added the border to complete it. I hope they are appropriate since I didn't do the majority of the work. These are 9" blocks.

My second set are a combination of piecing and applique with machine embroidery for the sparks. Also, 9" blocks. The colors are not showing very well. I blame the photographer! and that would be me.
