Sorry I am coming in late here rena. I got the flu again and have been really sick.
I am so happy you are on the mend. Get well soon and enjoy your surprise blocks.

Well, good news, ladies! My DH got the okay for the transfer in the company! It looks like we will be moving in June. Whew, I've got a lot to organize before. I'm going to try to get my Summertime quilt done too, so it can grace the sofa in our new house.

Congrats NZquilter. At least now, you have a little time to plan. I know you will enjoy living closer to family. I hope the move goes well.

So I have put together the top for my Summertime Quilt! I ended up making all the blocks 12.5 inches with a colorful border. I went with a white-on-white sashing to calm down the blocks. I had a hard time deciding what should be the small cornerstone squares. I didn't want to bring in a color that would take over the quilt and I thought random colors could get too busy. I had some fun summer flip flop with sunglasses fabric that originally seemed to be a bad busy idea. But I liked it! I thought the paler yellow with touches of color tied it all together. I ended up making six of the blocks -- my sunshine was with help from Teen (thanks again!). I really wanted a flower on the quilt so I made the one in the middle.

Again, thank you for all the support and fun blocks along the way.

It's beautiful, IrishMom! It sings of summertime! I think you balanced the colors wonderfully. I see one of my blocks too!

Irishmom...that turned out beautiful! You did a great job on the sunshine block, too! And, you are so welcome! Each block is adorbAle and the colors are all so balanced throughout. Outstanding job!

I think it looks great with the yellow print corner stones and then bordered with colors that you like but don’t distract from a very active quilt with all the different blocks. Good work. I haven’t played much yet with my blocks.

Does anyone know where I can find the appliqué design of the tent with the fire roasting marshmallows block? I would like to make one for my quilt.

Looking forward to seeing more settings.
