MaryB excellent round.
I received Bugaroo's quilt on Monday haven't opened it yet, waiting until I get a few things finished and cleared up so I can focus on the RR.

I know we aren't done with this one yet but I am already thinking about my center for the next RR.

I got IB's center from Givio today... it's so pretty! Her corners are so elegant that I surely don't want to mess them up. Will ponder what this quilt needs next. It's a beautiful quilt!

I got fabric today for Macybaby's quilt...as long as it looks good once I get a little of my idea done, I have a plan for the border too!! 1 appt tomorrow, 3 Friday, and 2 more on Monday...so not a whole lot of time to be in the sewing room. My MIL's surgery is Oct 8th and I want to have it done before that since I know I'll be at the hospital with her for 3 days at least.

Default Mary's addition and etc

I love your addition Mary, the way that the flowers tie in to Ice's border is great. It is just so exciting to see each round. Here is what I have been doing in between my rounds. The darker one is a refinish of a Singer 301 case. The fabric was in terrible shape and there was water damage, so I stripped it, sanded it, stained it, and now the first coats of poly are on the outside. I'll be decoupaging the inside with MCM paper overlaid with old simplicity patterns to give the sides some structure as the exterior sides are of thinner wood. The green one is belongs to a Singer 185j, the portable green full-size workhorse, which I was lucky enough to find with the wood case not the plastic one. The wood case had fallen apart, so I ripped what was left of the fabric and paper, sanded, and am starting a finish that is used on high-end guitars, here is the first section with the deep green stain on the outside base. Can't wait to see how awesome this case will turn out. Hugs all!

Mona G, you and me too-- thinking about what center I would do for another RR.
Hav4boys, November is practically around the corner now... :-)

Everyone is commenting on MaryB's round, and I missed it somehow so had to go back and find the picture - and wow - that really looks nice! I love when the rounds pull together so it's harder to tell where one stops and the other begins.

I started pulling fabric for travelinggramma's quilt. DH was talking about maybe needing to make a shopping trip so I figured I'd better see if I need any fabric. This quilt has so many slightly aqua/turquois colors, and that is a favorite of mine, so I managed to pull about 20 fabrics that could be used (will trim that down), So I guess I really don't have a good excuse for a trip to the LQS. DH isn't in a big hurry for what he needs, so it's looking like we'll wait for a while before making the trip. DH had ordered a new waterheater for my studio, and since it's on a second floor he wanted one with an automatic shutoff if it starts to leak. We'll have to make the 2 hour trip to go pick it up once it's in, so we'll probably wait and make one trip instead of two.

I started working on the first center I made, and the design morphed into a medallion quilt with four quarters instead of having rounds., It's sort of got rounds . . . I want to get more of it done before I start sewing on anything else.

Ok, my email is still a disaster but I'm getting pretty well caught up on the comings and goings here

Told the hubby that it's been fun but that I have some sewing (which is fun for me) to do in the next couple of days so he is going to have to figure out what to do with himself home on quarantine... we are perfectly fine and healthy, just being prudent and laying low the next couple of days, he doesn't go back to work until Monday. We are going in to have my knee x-rayed today which was the first step of getting that looked into, we were able to make an appointment instead of the just show up and wait method I had been avoiding.

For me, I'm going to open up the round robin package and bring out everyone's lovely work to see if the fabric I want to use will work or not, or if I have to once again change mental directions.

Ice, I got your quilt to work on for round 4. I love your center! Hope I can do the quilt justice after Givio’s beautiful 4 corners which turned the quilt on point.

I‘m on my way to a baby weekend in Memphis. Really, they are toddlers now... happened so fast! One of the girls will be moving to Iowa with her parents in a few days... so very far away! So this is a “sending off” visit for me.

Macybaby, I’m just the opposite in that I like every round of a RR to look different and unique! I don’t even like the same fabric to be used. Can’t wait to see what these quilts look like when we get done with rounds 4 and 5.
