I received 2 envelopes today. One from Sewbizgirl and the other from AHWU. Thank you very much ladies! This is pretty exciting. This is my first time receiving envelopes. Lol!

Yes I agree on the laying around like a rock. That has been me the past 2 days.... I'm patiently waiting for the wonderful fall air to come in...

I'm looking forward to fall too. It is my favorite season. I have to chuckle when I see people putting out their fall decorations though, like they can speed it up in coming.

I found a book called "Jelly Roll Sampler Quilts" and wanted to see what the blocks would look like made from candies instead of jelly roll strips. Here's some from the basket sampler pattern. The pattern calls for 18 blocks total, but I'll see how far I go.

I'm always up for a swap. "If you organize it, they will come," At least I'd think.... course swapping was different 20 years ago when I was doing it much more. I'm trying to get up a round robin and it's so difficult. Not sure what happened to swappers, went the way of the dodo?

ibex, I've been sick with snowballing ailments for the last 15 years. The last one sent me over the edge for travel, got Covid in December, it never left. Well, much of it has finally but I'll be on oxygen for the rest of my life now.

Thanks for the support. I'm having a better time of it. We still have to do touch up on the room so I haven't wanted to make it mine. This week, I moved a table in and a bunch of scrapbooking stuff into the closet. I've been having morning bible sessions again. Been a very long time. I got made at God and pulled away about 8 years ago from all the continually heaping of chronic incurables. Guess I'm finally over it.

NZ, Great minds think alike. My quilting club/guild/group used the "Jelly Roll Sampler Quilts" book for a quilt-a-long about 4 or 5 years ago. The book was sitting on my shelf getting dusty. I think they did the Star Sampler Quilt. I did not do it. I bought the book then bowed out because I had other quilts I really wanted to get done. Thanks for the reminder. I may leave this book out and give one of the quilts a try. Your fresh colors will make a lovely quilt. Birthday treats put to good use - Birthday Baskets or Swapping Baskets..... Hummm

I like your scrappy basket blocks, NZ. They are super cute!

Wendy, my heart goes out to you. May God totally heal your body. In His timing.
