I love patriotic both red, white, and blue as well as maroon, cream, and navy. I am not a big batik fan either. It is very easy to sew, but not sure why, it does not make me all googley eyed.
Last night my son brought the boys by. We took Hyde down to the next block to the fire house. He was so happy. He has become fascinated with fire trucks. I rocked Hendrix and he feel asleep. He was so sweet. He wanted to be sung to.

Adorable grandkids Hav4boys!
On another note, I happened to stumble across two bags of quilting fabric scraps last month at a thrift store. They were all plaids and Thimbleberries! Some fat quarters had odd cuts chopped out of them, so I pressed all of them out and cut all into 5" charms using my AccuQuilt cutter. Some lucky person may be getting a nice sized package of charms some day if there is still anyone out there that is a Thimbleberries & plaids fan. I thought they would be a good fit for a masculine quilt since they are all muted browns greens, tans, etc.

Got my package from AnnaQuilts yesterday. It was awesome. Lots of black and white fabric and a pincushion that she made. I love it.(Taking it to my bee Wednesday to show it off). Thank you for everything.

Those grandboys are adorable! I have 4 grandsons myself and all of them take after me with good looks and above average intelligence...lol. My granddaughter followed suit as well.
Annaquilts, I think you're spot on with Civil War fans liking Thimbleberries as well. And I agree that those and the plaids would make an outstanding men's quilt.
I seem to have lost my mojo for the time being. Too hot to think about quilting! That should change in the next few weeks though - I hope!

Pamela,
I tried looking up your screen name; pamelaory but could never get it to come up.
Anyway, I received an awesome package this month from Pamela, it had my most wanted item of wool! I loved that Thank You so much! Also included were some patterns, candy and treats for “the girls” as well as cute sign for my studio that says: Finished is better than perfect. It is so cute! And a hot pick tape measure as well as DMC floss for use on the appliqué. I loved it all Pamela Thank you so very much!!!!!
