Northern Sue hope you get to feeling better soon, just make sure to take it easy and heal. I have meet several people here in Teneessee at the physical therapy center and they have said that having the knee surgery is the best thing in the world for them. They say that the physical therapy is a must and it helped tremendously.

m-fay, I use every trick in the book to trace, enlarge or reduce patterns I find and trace them ontoGolden Threads tracing paper. Pin the paper to the quilt and free motion over the pattern then tear the paper away.

This one was taken right from fabric.

The think the biggest improvement in my quilting is making sure the quilt sandwich is put together nice and stable so it doesn't shift, especially the edges. My favorite method for these small quilts is using Elmers Washable School Glue. It really holds the layers well and totally washes out. The machine has no problem with it.

Some lovely runners being made guys.... I can't believe June is nearly here!

Sue, glad to read that you are on the mend...take it easy, do your exercises and you will be back to sewing very soon!

    Hugs

    Caroline

Hi ladies well here is my first try on a table runner. Not really happy with it but what do you ladies think. I welcome any advice or suggestions. I think I should have reversed the watermelon and the picnic material it seems to me the watermelon is too much.

This certainly is a summery cool quilt. The watermelon fabric is well balanced with the movement of the other fabrics.

Very nicely done. I would be happy decorate a summer luncheon with this one.
