Here is my second one for Sewbiz, it’s a Dahlia Star, but I added a vintage button to compliment the center and make it even more ladylike. I didn’t hand appliqué the center but it is turned under so it will be stable with the extra fabric for the flower petals. I plan on doing at least one more tonight, I have an idea for my next skull so I’m going to try to tackle it. We have lousy weather here today so it is definitely a stay home and sew day. Hugs all!
Oh, I love it, Reba! Another fun block to add to my quilt. Love the petals and button. My granddaughter will love to play with those 3D parts. Thank you.

Libster, love both of your applique blocks for Reba. Just beautiful.

Thank you, Bonnie. I had fun making them today. I just realized I only have two more blocks to do for the Azalea group. I already have them decided on and most of the prep work done. Guess I'll be on to the Begonia's group then. I am really enjoying our Boom this time. Absence from the last Boom definitely made this heart fonder. I missed you guys! I love seeing what's being created this go-round!

That chicken quilt is going to be fantastic! I cannot wait to see it completed. Good job on your pieced block too, Sewbiz. I like it, but then, you know I love stars anyway!

Those are both pieced. I will remember that you liked the star. It was a block out of an old book by Judy Martin. She has some beautiful blocks that aren't the 'usual' ones that we all make. You have to print and cut templates, tho... ack! I'd also love to use some of my Farmer's Wife blocks but one book has 6" blocks and the other, 8".

Thank you sewbizgirl! What a fun blocks. I am very excited about the blocks made for the chicken quilt. It promises to be a beautiful and fun quilt based on all the stunning blocks people made. I really enjoyed reading about the pieced star block and its history also. Both blocks are gorgeous. Thank you!

Annaquilts, I'm going to have a rough time letting go of those chicken blocks when they come through my hands in a couple of months! lol. Sewbiz, Love your star block with the adorable chicken fabric and your pieced chicken. Great job.

Blocks in the gallery should all be caught up now. .
