I'm planning to make both the Azalea and the Begonia quilt with 30 blocks. I'll do them using Sewbiz's tute. I love making them that way. Since I don't have access to my brother's longarm since he passed, I can still finish them myself. Every time I finish a quilt now, I say a little "Thank You" to Sewbiz for sharing with us.
Between Janice's endless work on our behalf and Sewbiz's sharing her tutes with us, we are one lucky group of ladies! Just a couple of reasons why I love my Boom group so much. That's what makes us a "family"!

And thankfully Janice will have all your blocks in one spot so we don't duplicate patterns!

Oh thank you, Libster! I am so happy you are enjoying the QAYG lessons I posted! Your quilts always turn out lovely.

I have a sit down longarm now, but I still use the QAYG methods every once in a while because they are fun and I can use up my batting scraps and small cuts!

    I mailed my f8s today!!

Afternoon Azaleas! Libster, I’ll grab your latest block and put it in the gallery tomorrow.

I’m still cooking, reading, napping and quilting, not necessarily in that order though. I actually cooked dinner a bit too early so I’ve got it cooling in the snow outside in a big pot. Lol. I knew the snow would be useful - so much more than just pretty to look at. Our road was plowed yesterday but portions of it are still snowy and very icy, esp in the shade of which there is plenty. Our pup needs surgery on Thursday, 4th round of mast cell cancer, so we’re really hoping we can get out by then.

That’s it for me. Back to reading. I am enjoying being stuck with no place to go.

I don't mind getting block duplications since only the focus fabric I sent will be used in each block. Different shades of a color and the placement makes blocks look so different. Most of them, you'd really have to look hard to realize that they're the same pattern.

I am anxious to start a block with my fabric but I refuse to until I have the flimsy I’m working on done. 350+ triangles. I figure I have sewn at least 500 seams. They are isosceles triangles so one side is shorter, not always detectable if I have rotated it 1/3 of a turn. Grrrrrr. But it is starting to look like something. But I see one boo boo. 503 seams.

I mailed my fabric today. Janice should have it on Monday.
