Think of a regular dresden template - you sew the top and make a point. with this - the bottom portion is wider and you also sew that and make a point. sew the remainder of the raw sides together. Book was by Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson called Double Wide Dresden designs.

Ouch, Sewbizgirl. Maybe you need a set of bubble suit gloves, too. I hope your finger heals up quickly!

TG, you outted me. LOL Thank you!

TG, Hav, Reba, AQ, and SBG, wonderful blocks today! And a lot of them. You all keep me on my toes.

Time to load all these new blocks into Weebly. Have a lovely day, one and all.

Thank you for my beautiful blocks, TG and AnnaQuilts! Love all of them. The hot air balloon that Hav made for TG just blows my mind!

Here is my last block for Azaleas... For Libster. Not quite a star, but Lib I hope you have room in your heart for a pinwheel, LOL.

Tonight while trying to finish up I did it again! Cut off a hunk of my fingertip. Blood everywhere. But I saved the piece that sliced off to try and graft it back on. I've had success with this twice before as you recall, so wish me luck this time too. My finger is all wrapped for a day or two. We'll see what happens after that.

Now I'm ready to hear about protective gloves for cutting....

Love my block, Sewbiz, but not the part where you dissect your finger! Good grief! I can't imagine how bad that hurts. I cut my index finger once, that was enough for me. I make sure to keep all digits well away from the cutting blade now.

Second block for GramE. I am glad you liked the first block. this is one of my favorite layouts, simple and classic with lots of points.

RebaQuilts first block, applique per her request. I hope you like it. I had to add birds because I really like them in applique blocks.

Love both blocks for GramE and Rebaquilts. The applique really is wonderful with the birds. Fine choice.

You are giving me more credit then I deserve. I am still confused but thanks for trying to explain it to me. I might need the book to get the concept. Thanks for the info.
