Jane your birdie is adorable! I love the coloring too!!! I was thinking of adding some rain on my April block. I'm trying to finish it this week. We'll see how that goes! I'm dropping four birthday cards at the PO in the morning. I hope Miss Jaba receives hers in time! That prize box is sounding phenomenal!!!!

Yes Lucialpl, But I don't know how to use them. This is my first try. I wanted them to look like watercolors. When my DGG saw the rainbow, she asked if I was going to add a sun and rain because that is where rainbows come from....I said I could. Then she asked are the rain drops going to be straight or tear drop shaped. I can barely keep up with her. She is 5 yrs old going on 6, and school tested her at a grade 6 reading level....because that is as high as the test goes for kindergartners. ......Anyway, thanks Luciaplp for asking, Got any tips for me?

Jane, your bird is absolutely adorable. Love the little flowers added.
Crispy: I was working on that for 30 minutes before I posted how hard I thought it was. Then it just unraveled. Thanks for doing it. Nice thought. I need to be nicer like that

You're welcome. Sorry, I don't have any tips for you. I have been thinking about trying them out too. One of these days I will buy them and try it out. I think what you did looks nice.

May Birthday Ladies are mailed.....I vote you open them when you get them. It would be too overwhelming to wait for your birthday date and open them all on that date. So Jaba, JuanitaBean, Moonrise & Gaijin Happy Birthday. And keep an eye out for candies in the mail.

Help!! Is there such a thing as a poltergeist??? I bought the right background fabric, cut out large blocks, traced the April BOM onto the block, bought a brand new very nice Clover embroidery hoop, got the design hooped and then....???? I have torn the house apart looking for that hoop with the April BOM! I'm at wits end as to what happened to it. Today I gave up and bought a cheaper hoop and will start over. Sigh. Too bad we can't put a GPS on our missing UFOs.....

You will likely find hoop #1 when #2 is done!

Jane, your birdie looks great with the coloring added!
I did a project years ago where I used regular crayola crayons to add color, then heat set with an iron.
I don't know where those blocks ever ended up. They never made it into a quilt, so I don't know if the crayon coloring would hold up very well.
Anyone ever try using crayons like that?

If your poltergeist is anything like mine, as soon as you get too far to start over again, the first hoop will reappear in a place you've already looked 10 times. They're sneaky like that
