moving right along....next step in the Mystery Quilt
Step 5
You will need for this step:
4 .... 2.5 x 4.5 rectangle of background fabric
8....of your "rows of 3"
4 ... 2.5 square
sew on the 2.5 side of the rectangle 1 2.5 square
then add a row of 3 on either side
Make 4 of these
Step 5
You will need for this step:

So that was a really fast one so we are going to also do step 6 of the Mystery quilt
you will need:
8....."3 in a rows"
8.... "2 in a rows"
8 single 2.5" squares
8 ....1/2 square triangles that were cut in half from your 7" background square
sew a 2 row to a 3 row
add a 2.5 on the bottom of the 2 row
should look like this: (remember my photo's are always sideways)
this will continue on the next post

make 8 lovely triangles like the above photo
then lay the background triangle on the top right sides together and sew a 1/4" seam to make them look like this:

Okay we are almost ready to put our Mystery together!!!!!
so everyone should have the following blocks made:
9 block....28
6 block.....20
8 block.....4
triangle block...8
if you want to get started/catchup/ or need direction here are the post numbers for each step:
step1: 617 rows of 3
step 2: 808 9 patch
step 3: 969 cutting background fabric
step 4: 1097 making 6 patch
step 5: 1214 making 8 patch
step 6: 1215 making triangle blocks
One more step and then assembling/ sewing your quilt together will be July 26th. yeah!
