Birthday Swap 2018/2019 New
#2101
Lots of Birthday greetings coming in to you two girls! Fun, isn't it? Those at the end of the swap have a long wait-- only three of you left next month. :-) You are the patient ones.
I haven't been doing a lot of sewing the last weeks. I've had a cold and sort of felt like doing nothing. I hope to get back to sewing my blocks. I have a little seam ripping to do on a few of them, as a candy in the corner was damaged accidentally.

How many squares do you send to each person on their birthday?
I just reread the first page, it looks like 50 to each person right?

Yes, 50 to each. As the new swap begins, we often share tips for sending the little squares economically and in a way that will not end up with extra postage. Keep watching when the new swap starts but in the mean time, you can always cut, cut, cut. Barbara will send you all the info you need.

Hi Mona....
It is best to read all the info in post #1 of this thread. It will give all the info which will not change very much for the new year that is coming up. We have not opened the sign up for "Newbies" yet but if you are interested you will need to send me a PM with your info and also you will need to get someone to send you a recommendation in to me.

Hello ladies I am back from my weekend away quilting. I am exhausted and happy to get some time to quilt. I put together the quilt that I am making my daughter for Christmas (yep last one) and now I am going to put buttons on it to "tie" instead of quilting it. My daughter likes them puffy so I hope she will like this one.
I also had time to go thru envelopes that I have received from the swap this year. I was disappointed to see that people are resending the pieces that they don't like to other swappers for their birthday. I would see the same fabrics in two or three(or more) different envelopes. PLEASE do not resend ANY squares to another birthday swapper. if you do not like them please give them away, toss them out but do not send them out. I received a few of my own back! Only send squares that you cut out yourself.
Also...... I had quite a few piece that should have been fussy cut. Instead I received a really cute dog without a head. If you are going to use a piece that needs to be carefully cut out please do so. I tossed many out this time around that would have been really cute but they were headless .
So for all of you who have started cutting please go look before you package your squares that you have good quality squares.
