The mini Dresdens we made a couple of years back were fun and easy. I made a few of mine into coasters simply by stitching them to a piece of felt and then trimming close to the edge.

Making mini Dresdens. One set will be used to extend a quilt and go on a top border. Another set will be as a row of flowers for a farm quilt I am doing with a local group.

Oh, those are cute! I had no idea one could make Dresden plates from something so small!

This is my finished flimsy for the project this year. The last pic is a chart showing how to enlarge to fit your needs.
Happy Quilting!

Delayed trip due to unqualified buyers gumming up the works, ugh, some realtors must be dreamers!
If you have any questions re the quilt project, please PM me or post on this thread.
I chose to go linear instead of the 4 corners of the "X" meeting in the center for the edge blocks. May change back, let's see what daughter wants.
hugs,
dj

This morning I pulled 50 fat quarters for cutting candies. I sure have a mess in my fabric storage closet - I just piled stuff up as I was unpacking and have not done much in there since.

And as I was pulling fat quarters, I was stacking what I didn't want to use in another spot on top of other piled fabric, and just as I got done, that "other spot" decided to go unstable and fell to the floor. At least since it is in a closet I can just shut the door and deal with it later.

Yesterday the inspection on the selling house was completed and the realtor told us the inspector didn't find anything that we'd need to be concerned about - so hopefully a closing date will be scheduled now. DH was planning on going to check on the place this AM, so he can make sure nothing got left unlocked (that has happened several times already). Will be very nice when the property is no longer our responsibility!

The weather has warmed up beautifully these past few days. Spring is in the air! No flowers blooming here yet, but hopefully soon. We replaced some windows this past winter and it was so nice to open them this morning and let the fresh air in. The old windows were stuck closed and have been for who knows how long!
