Great block Billie
I was home for a few hours yesterday morning and worked on Joan's block. Decided to appliqué seaweed down with metallic thread. Thought it would shimmer. What a pain in the you know what. Thread broke every 3 or 4" won't do that again.

Thanks Terri I'm happy with it.
Tips I learned when using metallic thread
1) Use a needle for metallics it helps a ton.
2) This one you probably know use a regular cotton in the bobbin
3) Set your tension to 0 yes zero it works amazingly well if it's too loose try 1 but I always set mine to 0 and do not have a problem.

I have 2 to share this morning both for Lum I love that you are doing a quilt of valor and after finishing your first block Starflower I had lots of your fabric left and decided to make a second one for you.

With luck I'll be spending several quality hours with my sewing machine (not my seam ripper) and get more stuff done.
