Tips I learned when using metallic thread
1) Use a needle for metallics it helps a ton.
2) This one you probably know use a regular cotton in the bobbin
3) Set your tension to 0 yes zero it works amazingly well if it's too loose try 1 but I always set mine to 0 and do not have a problem.

Up at 7 am to use bathroom. Laid back down and house and bed started shaking!! The scanner started going crazy with people calling in. There was a earthquake in Oklahoma and we felt it here in Central Missouri, even over into Illinois Im hearing...hope the New Madrid fault in SE Missouri never shakes! It was scary! Hope the Okla people didnt have much damage!

joan elizbay - bet that was scary. All the fracking in the midwest seems to have increased the incidents of tremors and earthquakes. I have had the radio on, listening for weather, but haven't heard of anything in OK. Of course, the backyard has water in it up to my ankles. Glad I am so high above the flood zone. The streets and sewers are still flooded here. DH is traveling through it today. He's ok. I'm .... concerned.

Okay, another Birds in the Air, this time for MonaG. I tried to match the red in the floral.
