Sewbizgirl, I hand sew in spurts. Keeps my mind and my hands busy when my body needs rest. Only been hand sewing 2 yrs now. I never would have thought I could do it. But now, I always have a little kit ready to go if I have to go to an appt that has waiting time involved. As an ADD person, I don't sit still very well! And the sewing lines are printed on the back of the fabric! Just follow the dotted line..

I'm glad you like it dresden is a big time favorite of mine too. I know how you feel I get silly excited when I see my fabric made into awesome blocks by all of you. I love browsing the gallery and trying to visualize how all the quilts are going to look.

I used every inch of the green I could. I even sewed some scraps together to make the last three pieces. To many pieces make all the fabric go into seams. I need to learn that you can make a block with less than 80 pieces. I hope it will work for you.
Very pretty so much movement. So awesome you used every last scrap of het green.

I've just started to really enjoy handwork, too. It started when I saw some beautiful hand embroidered quilts at the Paducah show last spring, and bought patterns. I made two! Then I started a needleturn applique Hawaiian quilt. The hand sewing is so relaxing, as long as the light is good and the eyes hold out! Haven't yet hand pieced a quilt block, but I would imagine that is fun too.

Wow, Opals, beautiful blocks again! Billi, the Dresden lovely, the one GramE made for NanaKathy, I love that pattern and you executed it wonderfully, Mona's blocks for GramE and A2P are terrific...the list just goes on and on so please forgive me if I haven't mentioned your block. From where I sit as the host, this is looking like a very successful Boom swap! Great job everyone!

I will get some photos uploaded here shortly. I also went to the Ritzville Fair and won with different items I entered. Loving this. I even won the Machine Quilting Award, which is the one I really wanted.

Thank you all for the happy thoughts. Now to focus on some blocks and finishing projects for the quilt show in October.

Default Ribbons

Here they are so far. I have some different ones going into the Spokane Fair today so will see how those do. You are allowed only one item per lot.
