I am so looking forward to the next swap. I have the fabric picked out. I have to measure to see if I have enough for a group. If not I have to shop online to see if I can find some more yardage.

Yay Libster, another Christmas boom! I'll tell you, my blocks were amazing - can't wait to repay the love with your fabric! Might have to do both booms, just to make sure I get some of your fabric!!

Jayne, after seeing your blocks and that beautiful quilt, it was settled for me. After checking out GramE's link, I changed my mind pretty fast. I already have fabric that I had planned to send. Guess I'll use that one for just one group instead of both for Boom 20. For sure they will be totally different fabrics!

I also bought some fabric Fairy Frost and a few reds that caught my eye. I would love a winter quilt. Will also use for a boom. The reds were $3.00 a yard Fairy Frost was $4.00. Still an exceptional deal.. Libster I loved all the Christmas fabrics but wasn’ sure of the size of the designs.

let me tell you I am having an absolute hay day with the quilt as you go blocks. Just love quilting on them. Hope I can get them together correctly

Wow, Terri! Absolutely gorgeous! I would say you, for sure, have conquered the hang of this QAYG. Don't you love it? Way to go for your first time!

I say great job, Terri. You are making the quilting part look fun but it’s the putting together part that worries me!

Stop worrying you guys. For me, the joining part was a whole lot easier than trying to manhandle a whole quilt through my machine at one time. I made these last two quilts 5 blocks X 6 blocks. I laid out my blocks on the floor to see where I wanted them. Then I quilted and joined all my rows of 5 blocks. I put a safety pin in the first left end block of each row so I could keep them in the right order. Then I join rows 1 and 2, lay it aside. Join rows 3 and 4 and lay aside. Join 5 and 6 and lay aside. I then go back and join the first and second sections (rows 1 & 2). + (rows 3 & 4). It's easier for me to do it two rows at the time. This way, I can keep all my blocks in the right order. I love adding that last strip of rows 5 & 6. I know when it's finished, all I have to do is bind it and I am finished! YEAH!! This is just the way I've worked it out for me. It may work better for someone else a different way.
