Beautiful block for Marcialee, B'stone! The square-in-squares are so tiny and perfect.

Those are beautiful, Joan! Is there a name for the Christmas block? It looks like a Swoon block, but I know that's not the real name...

I have been somewhat stumped on the Hawaii block, but this morning I saw a perfect idea for it. Now I have to wait until I get home to see if there is a way to make it work.

Joan! I love my block, wow! This is like Christmas over and over! Thank you.

I am feverishly working to get my "new" quiliting room set up so I can get back to sewing. I am in the middle of making a design wall (8ft by 6 ft) - gotta love the 60% off coupon at Joan's! My husband is working on hooking up the cable (a necessity for me when I sew) and I even found an old printer's tray in my crawl space for thread storage. Next weekend, my dh is replacing the window in the room with a door out to a new deck! I do have a question for you all, I'm thinking of having him drop my sewing machine down into the desk I got from my son. Have any of you done that? It looks far more convenient

Joan all of he blocks are so pretty.

I was thinking about colors today and how our interests change. For awhile we were using lots of orange and grays, this boom I used more pink then usual and no orange or gray

My husband is building me a new sewing center (the size of 2 closets that closes but in the living room) anyway he is making a big table that slides in when I'm not using it, and he is planning on some sort of reset but not that goes all the way under so it is stored and used so the sewing area is the same height roughly as the table in sits on. Years and years ago I had a sewing machine desk that did that seems to me that is how most sewing machines were used stored and it always worked out well.[QUOTE=JayneW;7890456]Joan! I agree the first boom I was in seems like everyone wanted wow fabric, since then different colors seem to be more dominant for different booms. I remember the "grey" boom seems like it was used in most blocks.

Sew its called Red Rosy from quiltmakers 100 Blocks Vol 8 #780. A new one for me. I agree about the color changes. My choice of animal prints was so out of the ordinary for me..Im more of a blue person. The orange fabric I sent was way off my norm a few swaps back but its become one of my favorites! Everyone is making outstanding blocks again!! It IS very addictive!
