Don’t think I am overdoing. Today was a good day. Able to stand without being bent over, went off pain pills yesterday so I can drive to doctors office tomorrow and didn’t nap.

Hubby had bought some frozen soup for me and tonight we checked them out and 4 of them had 20 plus grams of fat with 15% from saturated fat. We were both shocked, lots of learning and reading labels in my future.

Lol, AQ, no I didn’t forget. It’s just that I forget some of you are in it too so there’s a bit of crossover between the groups. And AQ, I’m going to open cards and such later tonight and yours will be the first since it arrived first. Thank you for that! . [QUOTE=AnnieQuilts;8009161]Happy Birthday, Janice! Did you forget you're in the birthday swap?!? Guess that puts you in the public domain lol!

Terriamn, I love some of the canned soups but between the salt and the fat, it’s a heart attack in a can so they seldom cross my lips. I’ve recently learned the importance of eating sour foods to help balance out the sweet and fatty (an oversimplification) and have discovered that I can totally kill any sweet cravings with sour foods. A great one is unsweetened cranberry juice, tastes like poison, but I’m used to it. And there’s kimchi, fermented vegetables, often cabbage, radishes and carrots. The first 10 days of it was awful but now I like it and have a small amount at lunch almost daily. It’s really good for the digestion and has many other health benefits. This lifestyle change stuff isn’t easy.

Thank you again...I watched a $5000 machine working today and I was amazed all they can do! Good thing I didnt discover them when I was younger! Hope you are feeling better!

Thanks, Joanelizbay. . One of my favorites is Pappadeaux, a Cajun restaurant. I had a wonderful salad and bowl of seafood gumbo, mom had shrimp creole, and dh had raw oysters (never!!!), salad and mahi mahi in a terrific Opelousas sauce. Excellent. And we’ve just learned they’re putting in a new Pappadeaux only about 5 mins away. Yay!
