Libster, I know the right apartment is just waiting for you, in the right time. Could be a good thing. More time to sell or give away what you can't take with you.
My friend who is 90 just moved into assisted living. She had a huge 4 bedroom house to downsize! She did take all of her sewing machines and a good stash of fabric, and set up the one bedroom she has as a sewing studio. She sleeps on a daybed in her living room. She can keep making charity quilts and is happy as a lark.

Hello Ladies, I've been working hard all week on blocks and figured I better stop and post some pictures. I've had fun playing around with variations on the same layouts. Here there are:
I received two of sewbiz's packets, so I was able to use both of the extra fabrics in both blocks.

"Chocolate" Brown for Kass

That block is beautiful JayneW. My friend is home and recuperating slowly. And you were on my mind today as we got 2”+ of rain & thunder boomers and lightning, the dog and I stayed in & boomed blocks. Yours specifically.

My goodness, JayneW, what a lovely selection of blocks. I like how you added the black around the colored diamonds in Cheese's, it makes them really stand out. Sewbizgirl's two are so pretty. Kassaundra's is very sharp and I love the soft colors you used on QuilterMomma's. Nice work, JayneW!
