The individual panel squares are 11" with 1" between each one. So not quite enough to get to 12 1/2", but I could easily add a border (gold?) to make 12 1/2 squares. I'm open to all ideas.

I have a bunch (3-4 yards) of the panels, so I'm thinking I can make a few of these quilts for Christmas presents. I also have yardage of a cream fabric with the poinsettas and amaryllis and another black fabric with holly leaves. They were all part of the same collection I bought when a LQS went out of business last year.

Practice block - PaperStar from Quilters Cache. I took a F8 of white and a F8 of red. I had just enough red to complete, but needed more white. So, this is doable for a two fabric block as long as it is not less than 18x11!

I also noticed that I had put it together backwards from the blue/white pattern!!

TG, I need a bunch of that bubble wrap.....every time I have to sit down. PET scan came back with good news, no other cancer was found! that is such a big relief to know. Pre surgery and pre chemo appts. tomorrow and then surgery on Thursday to install the chemo port. Radiation and chemo will start Monday morning at 10 a.m. then everyday for 6 weeks. Got my hair cut today, very short, just in case figure I'm ahead of the game a little and am saving the septic system.
Love everyone's fabric, just wish I could play. Your block's will have a very special meaning to me ladies, please know how much I appreciate your kindness.
LJ and Kass hope you are feeling better, I'm sending very positive thoughts and prayers your way. I'm done for tonight so will try to post in a day or two. If any of you are in another swap that I have had to drop, etc. please feel free to update them for me....I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance

Jaba, wonderful news on the PET scan! I'm keeping you in my prayers that all goes well with your journey ahead. Keep your chin up. You're going to beat this.
