I've made a couple today. First one is for Sewbizgirl. It's a Modified Railroad. Second one is for Hav4boys. It's a Modified Double Star. One day I hope to learn to take a picture straight.
DarcyShannon, that falling stuff will get you every time. Glad you weren't hurt any worse.
Happy Independence Day!

What beautiful blocks, Joan, Kass and Libster! I love my modified railroad, Libster... thank you so much! It's got great balance for my two fabrics.

I just finished this block for GramE. I took several pictures but this is the best of them, I think it's the picture taker!

It’s beautiful, Cheesehead. Thank you. I can’t wait to see them all together. I had run out of all both the pink and teal, so I’ve Been kinda pouting but my DIL went to see her sister and they found 3 yds of teal and one yd of pink in Louisville. I was doing a happy dance yesterday!

You are welcome! I love the fabric you chose, I would be more than happy to look for more in my area here in Wisconsin. There are several quilt stores, Joann Fabric's, and Hobby Lobby stores that I can check if that's where the fabric came from. Please don't hesitate to ask!

Ok, I’m smitten. After seeing the Dresden plate blocks made here and in waves (I’m a lurker there) I’ve discovered that I really love them. I’d like to try to make one but can’t seem to find a pattern for a 12 “ ( 12 1/2” unfinished) one. Does anyone have a pattern or know of one on the net somewhere?

Love GramE's star block, Cheesehead! That is some beautiful fabric... GramE, who makes it? It looks like lace or a wedding cake paired up with WOW. What a beautiful wedding quilt it would make.

It’s amazing. You can go online JoAnn’s and enter a city and it will tell you what stores have it in stock. I had just been searching in Indiana. There’s another store my son is going to next week that has a yd of pink. But even with that I’m happy with what I have. Thank you all.

It’s a JoAnn fabrics exclusive. And it is a brand new line but sold out very quickly. But I noticed they now have a similar fabric in other color in their basic quilting fabric.
