Love both blocks! Thanks for mine! It's great!

I'l try to get some pics of the camper tomorrow or Monday. We're putting the finishing touches on it this evening and are taking it to a nearby state park tomorrow as a "test run" to make sure everything is ready to go for our upcoming big trip. It's a cargo trailer that we've converted into a camper.

Wow Janice love my block, thanks so much

Moonrise good luck on everything working correctly on the camper. Will be fun to see

Our retreat is coming to a close. Will be home late tomorrow night, I brought an UFO to work on, finished it and had enough fabric to start on a matching one. Mostly we talked, shopped and ate

Default Boom Biz - Shipping costs

Good morning, Boomers. Those of you in both groups need to be aware that there’s absolutely no way for me to pack all the F8s from both groups into a single packet. This round several people sent fabric well over and above the norm. As promised, I’m letting those of you affected know the exact amount of additional shipping costs by an email I’ve already sent. Be looking for it and reply. A few of you already included extra money so your packages will go out. All the others must respond before I ship.
Despite this issue, I believe it will be possible to put all the completed blocks in a single envelope, providing there aren’t “bonus blocks” made. Creating bonus blocks may force additional shipping charges for those you’ve made extras for, so you may wish to check before making extras for a person. Some people don’t mind spending extra money on shipping a larger package, but some really do.

We will have to revisit the “multiple fabrics” issue before the next Boom. This time is already a done deal.

Sorry for the extra hassle, Janice. I'm afraid I'm one of the offenders, having sent a little of a second color in both groups. It's always worked before... I think we do need some guidelines as to how much we can send. Maybe a maximum size for a second piece?

I asked for no bonus blocks last time, and do so once again. There's just not room for them in the little padded mailers. Everyone is welcome to keep the leftover fabric from my blocks, as per the swap rules.

Can't wait to get a fun package in the mail next week!

It wasn’t that much of a hassle, at least not once I gave in to the inevitable. Well-packed padded envelopes (small ziplock bags, fabric well-folded, and all air out) will hold up to 39 or 40 F8s, but they’re stuffed! This round there’s a lot more fabric than that. Completed blocks will probably (never a guarantee) be ok in a single envelope as long as nobody wants their fabric back or there aren’t bonus blocks. If so, we’ll go through this again at the end of the boom.

We’ll work it out before 22. (Geez. I’ve said 22 twice now.)

Default Boon Biz - Monday shipping!

FYI, shipping will be tomorrow for most. yay!!! You will receive your tracking numbers directly from USPS.com shortly. Those who sent pre-labeled envelopes should already have their tracking numbers.

I still need to hear from a couple of people about the larger shipping costs. Even though you received your tracking number, I won't ship until I get an ok from you. So please get back with me! Thanks.

Default Boom Biz - shipped!

And they're off!!! Who will post the next completed block who is not me??? Big prize for the first. OK, not really, just big "woo hoos".

Big Reminder! Be sure to count your packages before you start pulling them apart and looking at the fabrics. You will either have 19 or 20, depending upon whether you are one who has an F8 for Jaba. And if you are in both groups, do not combine them! I have counted each package so many times this round it would make your head spin. I know the exact count on everyone's package and who has what, but you each should count them so you know what you have. And work them separately or it will be a mess to straighten out when it comes time to ship. Trust me on that one. If it looks like you are short an F8 or two, count and then count again before sending me a panicked email please. Some of those darn packages are so slippery, miscounting is super simple. Trust me on that one as well.

Enjoy and let me know as you begin receiving packages. You should see the first ones on Wednesday.

Wow! My tracking number says the package is out for delivery today. For it to be "snail mail", those snails must be wearing jet packs. LOL!

Unfortunately I probably won't get to start playing until after vacation, but I'll definitely be petting the F8s before we leave. I hope the F8s will behave themselves while we're gone, seeing as how they'll be unsupervised. There'd better not be any drinking and partying! ha ha

I forgot how close you are! Excellent news. You'll be the first one to get a package.

Default Boom Biz - posting and shrinking pix

A great question came up on Dunes regarding posting pix. Yes, please do post block pix here! Everyone looks forward to them. However, when you post them, please shrink them to 200kb or smaller. We're going to get very picture heavy in this thread and large picture files really slow down the loading. When you take your pic, either use software to shrink it or some people are able to use their iphones and then mail themselves a smaller copy and post it. However you can manage it, small files are greatly appreciated. Be aware, I take the pix from here and move them to the "gallery". I also use small files there so anything that's large I have to fix before I move it I will ignore those until I've got lots of free time. In the beginning, as we all start making blocks, I may spend up to a couple of hours a day shifting pix and answering posts and emails. You all can save me a lot of time by shrinking your own pix before posting them here. Thank you!

edited to add: please post "Waves" pix in Waves thread and "Dunes" pix in the Dunes thread
