Gorgeous blocks Cheesehead.
I am so frustrated. New machine and it the 1/4 inch seam and it do not get along. Going by the quilt shop to day to get the seam guide setter. Guess it is what I get for sewing with the same machine for 20 plus years.

lots of lovely blocks posted! I'm hoping to have some time to sew this afternoon - didn't have any time on Monday or Tuesday and I miss my sewing!
I'm seeing several blocks made with some of the same patterns I'd selected earlier - so do we want to try to keep track of what others have already made and not repeat it?
Though I figure I can "cheat" but doing the patterns that have larger pieces as four 6" blocks and put them together. Then you get any secondary pattern that shows up in the middle, which is often really neat too.
I'll admit - I am addicted to little pieces. I consider anything over 2.5" to be on the "large" size. And for making one 12" block, it's not like I'm going to get totally sick of the pattern before I get done with it
That is also why I like doing this type of swap, those that enjoy working with the larger pieces are going to make blocks that use them, so I'll get some of both without having to sew up the type I don't enjoy working with as much.

Macybaby, one of the reasons for posting blocks and for the gallery is to see what others have made. Some boomers do avoid duplicating a block previously made for another Boomer but there's no prohibition against making a block made earlier by someone else. Besides, unless another person uses the exact same additional fabrics, they should look at least a bit different. And sometimes blocks are made by two people concurrently so there's no way for it to be avoided completely. Duplicates happen.

Update from mammogram and ultra sounds. No cancer, the discomfort is coming from multiple engorged and enlongated lymph nodes on both sides of breasts. Doctor is hopeful it’s in response to the nasty infection my body is trying to fight. There was cracking and bleeding from the mammogram and they suggested I go straight to dermatology. With the massive snow storm we were expierencing they thought there would be lots of cancellations. No luck, there were lots of cancellations but the doctors all wanted to leave also. Then doc from Bariatric called and said he saw my appointments were near by and he had cancellations. I could stop and get my pre op if I wanted. So home safe and sound and no more doc appts. and I am ready for surgery
