We also do not have children. Lots of nieces and nephews, now working on the grands.

Made this one tonight for Joanelizbay. It has a pinkish cast on my screen, but the strips are light beige as you requested. I just love this fabric! What's it called?

Here is the second one for libster

I'm working on three projects at once - usnig the pinwheel border for "leaders/enders" for the Sooner blocks

Do you like my snazzy new glider? It works great as I change the bobbin from the underside. I've only had this machine for a few weeks - I sure am loving it and find I don't miss the needle down or thread cutter. I guess the perfectness of the feeding and speed control make up for that. I love how this machine handles curves!

And the third project is machine embroidered crazy quilt. I'm making a set of 12 and then figure it will get put away as an heirloom baby quilt for some day . . . My kids are both in their 30's and unmarried, and both have said if I want grandkids, I'll need to adopt them myself. So I have to enjoy other people's grandbabies!

This is what Sewbiz's kids said too, and look at her being a Gma of 1 3/4 brand spaking new grand babies!!!! Life happens to those kids too, you never know.

This block is for Hav4boys. It's called the Aloha block which was featured in the 100 Blocks magazine, volume 8 edition. I've taken several pictures but I can't seem to get a good picture. I'm a horrible picture taker

Cheesehead - I have a hard time taking pictures too - I'm using my digital SLR and take a pic and look at it, then take another . . . usually I eventually get one that is good enough. Then I crop it so I get rid of the excess background. Mine seem to end up looking bowed, but I make them a bit oversized and trim them with my 12.5" square, so I know they are exactly 12.5" and perfectly square. I also don't have good lighting for taking pictures so the colors are almost always a bit darker or duller than they look in person. And if I use the flash, I'm too close and everything gets washed out. But I'm not entering any contests with my pictures - so I share them the way they are.

I know there is software out that there can "fix" pictures taken on the slant or slightly crooked, but then I'd have to learn how to use it, and right now Paint challenges my editing abilities.

    Now if I could do it on a spreadsheet . . .
