Boom 23, Night Owls 3 month group

Beautiful blocks, Terri and Kass! So much fun to see them all.
Vickkim, love your sewing set-up, especially your cutting table. What a great place to work.
I've been mostly lurking this week, as I've been with my grandbabies since Monday. Got back last night and now I have 'empty arms syndrome', so bad! The girls are 6 and 7 months old now... a wonderful stage of life.

Hello Night Owls! I was able to work on three of my blocks yesterday.
First is for mjpEncinitas - The pattern is called Milky Way which seemed fitting with your beautiful starry fabric.

For BiblioStone I found a pattern named Wampum -- which also seemed fitting with your Indian baskets! I hope you like it -- I wanted to show off your beautiful fabric and the tall piece in the middle lets your fabric shine.

And for LStew, I chose a pattern which let your cute roosters frolic around. I like how the burgundy fabric frames the main piece of fabric.

Interesting how the fabric colors change when being photgraphed. At least MJP knows that she sent red fabric, the picture makes it look almost pink! And the blue for BiblioStone matches the teal in your fabric exactly. Have a great weekend everyone!

Beautiful blocks, IrishMom! Love Mjp's in particular. I think hers will be a stunning quilt.
Terriamn, another beauty for Klaws. Can't wait to see it done.
And these are terrific as well. You're on a roll!

One last one before I head back to the lake. Tomorrow starts the closing process, our dock and lift were pulled out of the water along with our friend’s. That means there are only 10 left. That is a lot of work and always have the worry someone will get hurt. To bad a few others didn’t choose to have theirs removed last weekend.
Klaws hope you like your block. The colors are a little washed out in the picture

Some beautiful blocks posted today ladies. I have been side tracked from my last 3 blocks, but this is what I've been up to. (the words are copied and pasted from a fb post)
This post is going to be total shameless bragging! I am so thrilled w/ how this turned out. I have made my husband's neck ties for over 20 years, and have never even thought of making a quilted neck tie. I was wandering through the fabric store and saw this fabric and was struck w/ an epiphany, making a quilted neck tie. The original fabric is a stripe, it is stacked repeat cut into 4 patch posies w/ the 90' triangle, pieced on point, the alternate stripe is used as the binding, and even better it is reversible!!!! I intend to do a little more hand work on the back to umph it up. I was worried the binding would be to thick and mess up the tying process so I didn't double it like a traditional binding but did a single fabric layer. This was much more work then a traditional neck tie but I see more of these in my husband's future.
