I got my bungee chair without arms for sewing at the Container Store. I bought one with and for work at Wayfair.

Here are two for today. One for Janice that looks much better in person than in the picture. The one for SusieQ made me think of a Christmas cactus.

Hav, Love that Christmas cactus! And the block you made for Janice too. That blue fabric is beautiful but tough to figure out what to do with it.

Glad you all liked the Castle Garden block! It’s from Once More Around the Block by Judy Hopkins. That’s the third ‘Around the Block’ book. Some of you probably have it.

I was bored with all the blocks I usually make and thought I’d try the hardest block in the book, for a challenge, LOL. I won’t be making that one too often.

Whew! We are off to a great start, don’t ya think?

This is an HP block for Lstew2212:

Good rainy morning from WNC.

SBG, so that's where I saw the Castle Garden block before. I did a quick online search and couldn't find it so I'm happy to know it's in a book I have. Will try that for myself one day. Yours is fabulous! Love your Harry Potter block as well..

Thanks, Hav. I think I'll try one of the sling chairs. Thank you also for the lovely block. I can see it's beautiful. Love the Christmas Cactus for SusieQ.

This morning I have coffee with a friend and then this afternoon a group of ladies are getting together for coffee. And I have coffee now. Good grief. I'll be speeding all day at this rate.

Have a great day..

I spent time yesterday and today pulling fabric for the blocks. I've pulled from my small yardage, fat quarters and layer cake stash (all prewashed). Made me realize I really should do something with all the layer cakes I've got.

DH and I both had dentist visits recently and it turns out we both need crowns. I cracked a tooth last Saturday so was expecting it, and he's had a tooth that has been bothering him for some time and decided to get it taken care of now and not take the chance of having a problem while we are in the middle of trying to move. Both of us are dealing with back molars that have rather large fillings in them - both from pre-adult poor dental hygiene.

Janice, your coffee comment made me laugh!
Hav, love my "cactus" block. It's gorgeous.

I haven't started yet. I need to do some research. I want to find some new and different to me blocks.
Love all the blocks so far!

Here are the blocks I made this dreary morning. The first one is for Janice, second is for me and the third one is for Macybaby. Hope they work for your quilt.

Pretty blocks, Libster and Hav!

SusieQ, at the start of previous Booms we have posted our favorite online sites that give free block patterns. I’ll try to find that list and repost it here. There are so many block patterns available.

Here are some free block sites we have used before. Be sure the pattern you are following is for a 12" finished (12.5" unfinished) block. If you know of others, please post them. Pinterest has some great ideas too.

If you want some Harry Potter paper piecing, this site offers many free ones. They say .01 but when you add to the cart, they are free.
