Boom 32 Squirrels

I know NC allows you to check. Don’t know if it’s universal though. Seems like it should be.
We’re now in a “Historic” hotel in NM. Well, it certainly is old. Late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Let’s just say it’s quirky! lol. We wanted something different. We got it! Lol
They’re having a dia de los muertos parade shortly. Should be interesting!

Terriamn -- thank you for the pictures! This weekend I am doing my own little quilt show.... I am finally getting to sew up my boom blocks! Now if I could figure out what I did with my camera to take pictures to show you all....
I am doing a leader and ender project as I work on some of the blocks. I went to a quilting estate sale and bought a partially done one block wonder project using fabric. I'm learning a lot about trying to do those blocks. I've discovered that it is better to make the points match if the fabric piece isn't a perfect mirror image of the other pieces I'm sewing. I can trim off the edges but if the middle isn't lined up right, it looks terrible. These pieces were not cut with an accuquilt system so rarely are two of the pieces close enough to match. The person who started this did a great job. Me.... I have a learning curve.
Have a great weekend everyone!

This Joan of Arc quilt was made by one of the nuns who lives on the campus where my granddaughter is attending college. It was fantastic
Janice hope you enjoyed your quirky hotel
Ibex have fun with your presentation
Mighty happy to be sitting in my recliner with my feet up. Had a wonderful time. There were 21 of us on the bus trip and it was fun meeting with other quilters

The rest of the blocks are Hovering Hawk Blocks. I’m getting really good at those!
These are for: Two for Have4, Janice, Lstew, . I made extra blocks for Janice and Have4 as after I made the first block, I realized my blocks didn’t follow the directions as well as they could.
I’m happy I was able to get these done with time to spare. Making the same block a few times really helps! I’m a slow block maker. The applique always takes a long time and I’m a slow piecer too. Things with points, I many times baste first, to make sure I don’t cut off the points and the corners align. Someday I’ll be able to whip out these blocks like most of you do!
These are small less than 300K files too.
Janice can we mail these now or would you prefer we wait?
