Boom 32 Squirrels

Good morning, reporting in from the PT office this time. I think I’ll bring my laptop back here today so I can grab your block pix. I feel so out of the loop! Nothing like doing work in your car. Later!

I had a lot of fun with circles! This is similar to the back of the vest I made. I had a lot of fun. Reba, I’m so glad you gave the constraint you did and it made me do something different, which is good for my brain.

Here’s one where I may have blown it. Have4boys, I saw the red, white and blue and immediately assumed it would be for a Fourth of July quilt. I see I was wrong. If this block doesn’t work, let me know. I have enough fabric to make you another one.
This block is called Uncle Sam’s Hat

Ibex, These two are for you. I was so glad to make two blocks for you! I love Halloween! My first boom fabric, I gave everyone was Day of the Dead ( (Día de los Muertos) fabric. I think the boomers had a lot of fun with that.
For Halloween I give out books to the kids and we have a dinner for 20 people on the driveway, where we can watch the kids pick out the book they want. We have about 70 kids trick or treat at our house! I use the table runner I made with the boom blocks at that and I hang up the wall hangings I made with the rest of the blocks on Halloween too. So I think of you boomers that day!
These two are my go to Halloween blocks. I got this picture off the internet.

These last two are the pieced ones I made. The first one is for Travelin Gramma. It’s from Tula Pink’s City blocks book. I think #3.
The next one is for Janice and I forget the name. I’ve made this one several times and I thought this one is easy. But once I started it I realize I’d forgot about all the points in this one. I think I did pretty good on the points. I cut this out before I made it. At the time I cut it out, there weren’t too many orange McC blocks but by the time I made it, I realize there were a lot of orange ones. I have enough fabric to make another one. I’m thinking green but if you have another color you’d prefer let me know.

Wow, great blocks! Mjp, your orange block will be perfect. No worries!
I got around to assembling the blue and purple floral. It turned out well but I see a couple of things I’d change and be more cautious about if I were inclined to take it apart, which I’m not. Tomorrow I’ll bind it and call it done. I’ll get DH to help carry the weight of it when binding. I get a much better result when he does.
Had a rough day, missing the pup, but the time is coming to find a new one to love. Maybe in another month or so.
Internet is “supposed” to be up within 24 hours but you wouldn’t care to bet on that, would you? Later!
Have a pleasant evening.

My quilting motto (although not for boom blocks) is from my Texas FIL ‘It’ll never be noticed on a galloping horse and that’s the only kind I ride’.
And no I wouldn’t take that bet.
