Oh Terriamn - I did see your FB posts. You could make a daily quilt block using the colors each day. -

Any federal agency works through the mound of paperwork. So FEMA is usually on the ground later on.
Meanwhile what is needed is the helicopters to help with rescue and delivery of goods.
There are a number of disaster relief organizations that are on the scene immediately - each with a different agenda.
The Baptist are great with food preps while ARC is good at the emergency shelters. they also have their vans bringing the food to the people and assessing the areas as they go. Samaritans Purse has medical and food supplies and the aircraft to bring it to the stranded areas. The Mennonites will send in groups also who will do manual labor. Last month the Mennonite women were shoveling out the muck in homes in Vermont.
Who else?
And thank you for keeping rumors down and not pointing fingers. Of course if I were without essentials I may not be as nice.

Ladies instead of more bad or sad news I have something wonderful to share. My second dd texted me and asked if hubby was by me. I said yes and when no immediate response I panicked and hubby was worse then me. Call them and find out what’s wrong now. Just then I had a FaceTime call and it was our oldest granddaughter with pictures of ultra sounds. We are going to be great grandparents. Can you tell how excited I am. Bet you know wha kind of fabrics I will be sending for the next few booms

Pretty block with Cheese's fabric Terri, and what wonderful GGBaby news! I'd be honored to do a baby block for the quilt.

Good morning, squirrels. Still hanging in, no changes in the power situation. At least the weather is nice. We’ve gone through all the refrigerator freezer food now so we’ll be starting on the chest freezer food that’s currently in a neighbor’s freezer. We are going out for lunch for a break. Mexican food! Yay!

Have a good day.

Woo hoo! The generator is repaired and purring again like a kitten! What a relief. Now if we could get regular power back, especially for those who aren’t lucky enough to have a Jenny, it would be wonderful. The crews here continue to work very hard. Cannot thank them enough!

Great news on the generator Janice.

We met with 4 of our friends to watch the Minnesota Vikings play at 8:30 this morning in London.. a. Very different experience but it was good to be with our friends.

Temp has risen to 61 and terribly windy here
