I promised some blocks and here they are! Just like a politician, I keep my promises! I win!!
Tee-Hee-Hee!

The photos are a bit blurry and colors not "true" but the blocks are done, pressed, bagged and I have only three more to go. Two planned and one still has me stymied, but I will figure it out soon. Enjoy your blocks and what ever other project you have at hand.

Bummer about the eye, Face damage is always so dramatic but it also seems to go away quickly. Glad all of you impacted by Helene are holding strong. We can all learn from these experiences. We discover how important neighbors and strangers are and to offer from our abundance, whether it is a jug of water or dinner or a warm place to hold out.

NZ very nice blocks, fun to see the same block in different color ways. They look so different

WMUT your 3 blocks are also very fun.

Stopped and ordered a new pair of prescription sunglasses, they are supposed to be here 3 days before we leave for Texas. Hoping the pair I wore when I fell can be fixed and I will have a standby pair

My dark cloud is still following me around. Flunked mammogram. Go back for more tests and ultra sound on Tuesday, trying not to worry about it.

So I have a dentist appointment tomorrow for some routine small fillings. Do you think I should go or hide under the covers.

Terriamn, I’ve “flunked” many mammograms and have yet to have anything serious. Try not to court trouble but I know it’s so much easier said than done. My mind always go to the worst.

WMUTeach, love my block! Thank you! The others are terrific, too.

NZ - your three blocks are perfect - like each color combo
WMU - I really like what you did with each of the blocks.
Here are your two blocks! WMU - your block is Star beams !

TG, WMUT, and NZ... thanks for the fun block show today! We need some happy things to look at! You all did wonderfully with these blocks.

Janice, try to keep your head above water (depression-wise, I mean). It can't be easy to see your area all rearranged. It's hard enough to see it on the TV news, let alone live in it. Will be thinking of you and your family up there.

Terri, will be praying about your further mammo testing. Praying it's NOTHING!

TG, beautiful blocks!

SBG, I’m hanging in there but it’s harder now that we’re actually beginning to see the total devastation. We knew Helene was bad, but now we can see the pix and vids. Counting myself lucky.

Off to have a fire outside in our Solo Stove. We’ve been doing it every night lately and some neighbors usually come over and we chat and laugh and compare tips on how to make it through.

Have a good evening, Squirrels.

That's the upside, if there can be any upside, of a disaster like this. Neighbors come out and help and get to know each other like neighbors used to in the old days. In the aftermath of Katrina (no power for 12 days) we got to know our neighbors even better. Someone brought us water, MREs, and everyone's chain saws were buzzing. Everybody was passing out meat from their freezers, hoping to share it before it had to be thrown out. Big cookouts were happening! Even tho the circumstances were awful, some beautiful memories were made.

Going to try to update the gallery. Don’t know if I’ve got enough bandwidth.

My face has even more pretty colors today. I am like a leaf! Good news made it through the dentist visit with nothing going bad.

janice when we went through that power outage in Texas when it got so cold it was hard to sit back and watch the rest of the world going through their everyday routines while we were struggling But when you aren’t their you can experience empathy but not the reality you are experiencing. Please know we are holding you and other survivors in our thoughts and prayers.

TG great blocks.

My first block is for Janice and the second is for HAV, hope you like them..
