Terriamn, I hope the news is good for you.

Everyone's blocks are so lovely. It is time for me to focus on sewing instead of watching the news. I am overwhelmed with worry. (I can't even type correct grammar anymore so need to edit).

IBEX, it is overwhelming. This summer I saw first hand what 8” of rain caused. I can’t imagine what a whole town decimated will become. But it will rise and be stronger. We can not change it, just do whatever we can. For a number of years my DH and I we privileged to work disasters with the ARC. We were allowed to bring our home on wheels with us which allowed us to minister to the volunteers with home cooking after our 12+ hour shifts.
And when we find out what we can do now, we will all come together again.
Keep sewing as quilts will be loved once winter sets in. I am hoping QB or someone will provide a way to donate

Thanks for the concern ladies. Told doctor the pain felt different than before. After he checked my range of motion that had improved greatly in the 2 weeks since the injection. Then did the how does this feel till he hit a spot in my lower neck area that was a real zinger. The area is the Trapazite(sp), a large muscle on either side of you neck, I had another injection in that trigger point. Tried to be relaxed so shot didn’t hurt so much. I think it helped..

Internet just came back up —- for now. We’re ok. New generator failed but DH was able to get it restarted but it’s not running well. Still have to boil water but we’ve got water so no complaints. The Asheville family was able to come down for a few days but returned home yesterday. They’ve got power but no water.

The devastation is complete in many areas so we’re very lucky.

Hope you all are well! Will be in touch later if internet stays up. I’ve got a pile of texts to respond to. Hugs, all.

Janice glad you have internet and hubby has been able to keep generator going. They are showing mass destruction in Asheville, do you have any idea on when your power will be back up? Can you drive in your area?

Thanks, Terriamn. Still have internet but it could go out at any minute. Power might be restored by Friday midnight. That was the original estimate but we’ll see. The generator is sketchy but it’s threatening to fail again as I type this.

Today is yard clean up. Lots of sticks and branches down. It’s busy work.

Take care !

My oh my life sure is throwing me some curveballs but still better off than so many others. I rescued a turtle at the lake and brought it down to a safe spot on the hill much closer to the water. Long store short I took a nasty fall rolling down the hill, smashing my face on a large rock, lost my glasses in the seaweed and landed in the lake. I am bruised and banged up but nothing broken.

Oh no, Terri! Glad you are only bruised but not broken.

I am still not able to get in to my email acct. Hope I can get that resolved, or I'll have to abandon an email address I have had since 1999.
