SBG, we in Michigan are waiting for rain too. We got a little yesterday but only enough to "lay down the dust" and dampen the sidewalks. Forecast is projecting rain Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We need it. Rain will end the beautiful colors of what leaves the wind left on the trees, but we need to replenish the ponds, lakes and streams that are low and getting lower. There are times when a good winter snow storm would be just the ticket. It is a bit early for that but I can dream of December and January snowy days.

Those snow days make for excellent quilting adventures and boom block quilt assembly.

Great blocks Reba! Thanks for the travel photos, I’m living vicariously through you!

Here’s a picture of the kids trick or treating at our house and getting books instead of candy. It doesn’t show but I put up the Day of the Dead wall hangings and used the table runner from a previous Boom.

Unfortunately I’ve come down with walking pneumonia. Modern meds are wonderful and I feel much better today. I have a doc coming to the house and checking on my heart soon. Yep docs still make house calls here. The silver lining is I’ll have a lot of down time and will be finishing up the blocks this week!

Wmuteach, we meet Ernie next week and hope to have him by the weekend. We’ll be home on Monday. Looks like we’ve got a cloudy day today. That’s ok since today’s plans are simply to relax and enjoy the area.

Anyone else thinking of joining Boom 33? It’ll probably be posted mid-late January. I’ll keep you all apprised here.

Reminder, finished blocks must be in my hands on the 22nd of this month. That’s just less than 3 weeks away. You can probably ship as early as Saturday since it’ll take a few days to reach me.

Hope you all enjoyed Halloween. Did anyone have any fun trick or treaters this year?

Have a good day.
My grand daughter would love going to your house - what a great idea. I will mention it to my daughter for next year and she can put out a pile of their gently used books for the treaters!

I have a free little library too. In September we put out a call on Buy Nothing and I get hundreds of kids books. That takes care of all the book needs for the year.

Oh, can't wait to see the pics from the Houston show. One day I'll get there.... Reba and Terri, how fun you get to meet!

Yesterday we voted at the courthouse. Have to go to Memphis to work on the house there next week, and we didn't want to miss voting!
Last night we got a good, soaking rain. That was a total blessing. It's supposed to rain more today, but so far it hasn't happened.

The book give out is such a nice idea. Looks like the kids are loving it. No Trick or Treaters here... we live too far out in the woods. But if we were in Memphis we always get a ton of T or Treaters in our neighborhood there.

Hoping to make progress on Christmas pillows today.

We’ve got a very slow, relaxing day here today. I’m reading and surfing the internet, something I can’t easily do at home. (Apparently, it’s still down.) Today’s book is a reread of Emma by Jane Austin.

The book giveaways are a great idea.

Hope everyone gets out to vote. Make your voice heard. We voted two weeks ago, the first day it opened up. What a smooth experience the poll workers made it. Hope it’s easy for all of you.

I. V9ted about 5 days ago. Two days ago I got email confirmation that my vote had already been counted! They check signatures so its not an automatic process. I love mail in ballots.
